About a month ago I got a notice on Facebook that the Omni Fitness Club had news. It sounded exciting. They would not post the news and they said come on and read the news. They now have an auction sign outside. I went in and confirmed that they are closing. i asked why they didn't notify anyone and they said they have letters. I asked if they sent a letter to my house because I didn't get one. They said the letters posted there.
I am very said that they are closing. I first started going there in 1988 and again in 2004. Omni was a great place to work out when it was ran by Joe Mackey. Joe was there every morning working out with everyone. He made it so you wanted to work out. Every year they had a pancake bicycle ride. They encourage people to do things like Tackle the Tower. Through foursquare I became mayor several times.
Even though I am doing Beachbody workouts, I liked going to the gym. I am really going to miss Omni Fitness Club It has been a big part of my life for the last 9 years..
