Can you keep up? I know I can’t..

Lately I’ve been noticing
I say the same things he used to say
And I even find myself acting the very same way

For the longest time guess I thought he didn’t give a damn
Hard to read, hard to please, yeah that was my old man
On the day I left for college, it was nothing new
We never had the heart to heart, there was too much to do

He checked the air in my tires, the belts and all the spark plug wires
He said, “when in hell’s the last time you had this oil changed?”
And as I pulled out the drive, he said “be sure to call your mom sometime”
And I didn’t hear it then, but I hear it now,

A 120,000 miles, six years down the road
A brand new life and a brand new wife and we’d just bought our first home
When he finally came to visit, I thought he’d be so proud
He never said he liked the place, he just got his tool belt out

And put new locks on the doors, went back and forth to the hardware store
Said ‘come and hold this flashlight,’ as he crawled beneath the sand
These old wires ain’t up to code and that old circuit box is going to overload
And I didn’t hear it then, but I hear it now

Last Sunday we all gathered for his 65th birthday,
I knew he’d stiffen up but I hugged him anyway,
When it was finally time to say goodbye I knew what was next,
Just like he always does, right before we left…

I was up way too late last night listening this this guy on youtube.

Well I got in 2 workouts today. I did a P90X Kenpo dvd with Morgan.. I also went to the gym and did 45 minutes on the Arc trainer and 5 minutes on the versa climber and walked the track some..

Are you like me and carry your bikes & luggage on top of your car. Well the Ohio Turnpike Commission is charging you more. If your vehicle or gear on top of your car measures 7 feet 6 inches or taller you are now in a heavier two-axle commercial truck category. This is used instead of weight to determine this category.. This went into effect October 1, 2009. Even if you use EZ-Pass a laser scanner will determine the height of your vehicle and gear. If you cross the state using the Turnpike it will cost you $25.00 now compared to the $15.00 before the change..
Ohio has the only toll road in the country where motorists pay more if something is attached to the top of their vehicle instead of secured on the back.
I suggest not using the Ohio Turnpike.. I know I will not use it anymore, My GPS will now state avoid Toll Roads!!!!

Well, I know I am a little late but here they are.
1. To give up pop/soda on a regular basis. I have had only one this year.
2. To workout 240 times this year. Only 239 to go.
3. To lose the weight that I have gained back over the last couple of years.
4. To post here on an almost daily basis.

I have no idea how many workouts I have had this year. I stopped keeping track sometime in July.. I have not been posting.. I am not sure why I fell in to this rut.

We competed in the Cleveland Clinic’s Shape up and go again.. So out of 245 teams for exercise minutes we came in 14th with our average of 2,869 minutes. Pedometer steps we were 48th out of 329 teams. Not bad.. Not bad at all.. It takes a lot of steps because we have doctors and nurses that walk all day long.. It is hard to walk with my computer

Shape up and go at the Cleveland Clinic is in full swing. We did really well in the first round. I am just going to jump to the current workout instead of listing the missing workouts. I am walking right now getting my steps in.
