Harry Potter - Audiobooks

I have just finished (again) all the Harry Potter books. This is a great series of books. Jim Dale does the audio books and he does a wonder full job. Morgan and I cannot wait (but we will) till the Half Blood Prince comes out in July.. Yes it was supposed to be out in November but they have moved it back. The last book called “Deathly Hallows”, will be split into two different movies due out in 2009 and 2010..

I Robot

Well I finished it. It was totally different from the movie but wow did I enjoy it.. It really makes you think about programming and the correct way to do it.. It was hilarious how just by changing part of one little statement the robot would do totally different things. They found out that the rule that a robot would not cause harm to a human or let a human cause harm to them selves was causing a problem. They change it to just a robot would not cause harm to a human and it caused other problems.. Again it was very cool from a programming view..

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

I was going to listen to the last Harry Potter book but I decided to start back at the beginning.. It is a great book and great series. This is probably the 10th time I have listened to this book and the third time through the entire series. Six more to go.

My daughter loves the HP books. A lot of parents think that kids should not read these books because of witches, magic and what ever else they think is unfit about them. I just love the fact that my daughter loves to read.

Executive Orders

I finished “Executive Orders” by Tom Clancy. What a great ending to the first book “Debt of Honor”. Another great Jack Ryan adventure. I think these 2 should have been considered as one book, they are relatively short on their own.

The Client and The Firm

I finished both of these audio books.. The client was very good. I enjoyed the movie for The Firm a lot more then the book. The movie flowed better, especially with the brother, Ray..

A time to Kill - John Grisham

I am listening to a value pack of three John Grisham books. They are A Time to Kill, The Client and The Firm. I started them sometime last week. They are abridged versions so I have already listened to A Time to Kill. That is a rough book. The beginning will anger you so much on what two guys do to a 10 year old girl.  I am almost done with The Client.

Firestarter

I just finished Firestarter by Stephen King. I enjoyed it as much as I did as a kid.. I was not really into reading for enjoyment.. OK. I did not read for enjoyment or sometimes for school either. Some how I was introduced to this book.. I could not put it down. I listened to this quite a bit over the weekend. I guess some things don’t change.

The Book of the Dead.

I just finished listening to it. I listened to the whole thing because I kept thinking it was going to get better. unfortunately it did not. It is suggested that you read DANCE OF DEATH prior to this one. I am not sure if I am going to try to read DANCE OF DEATH to see if The Book of the Dead will then fall in to place.

Tom Clancy - Debt of Honor

I finished listening to Debt of Honor by Tom Clancy recently.. It is the first part of 2 books, the second one is Executive Orders. I really enjoyed the book. I do consider this reading, It is something that I can do while doing other things. Have you ever tried to read a book and ride a bicycle at the same time.. That is somthing that I didn’t want to try. I joined Audible books, so I am getting 2 books a month..
