I was flipping the channels and there is a Peter Sellers movie on, The Revenge of The Pink Panther. It reminded me of the time as a kid my grandmother asked me if I liked the pink panther. I said yes but I thought she was talking about the cartoon. Boy was I suprised when it was not a cartoon. To say the least we only stayed about 15 minutes.
iTunes had one of their songs free this week. I was blown away at the harmony between them. I went back and bought a few more of their songs from their holiday album. Check them out on their site.
All I have to say is how does this happen? How can they justify spending this type of money.
Less than a week after the federal government committed $85 billion to bail out AIG, executives of the giant AIG insurance company headed for a week-long retreat at a luxury resort and spa, the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California, Congressional investigators revealed today.
“Rooms at this resort can cost over $1,000 a night,” Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA) said this morning as his committee continued its investigation of Wall Street and its CEOs.
AIG documents obtained by Waxman’s investigators show the company paid more than $440,000 for the retreat, including nearly $200,000 for rooms, $150,000 for meals and $23,000 in spa charges.
I have just finished (again) all the Harry Potter books. This is a great series of books. Jim Dale does the audio books and he does a wonder full job. Morgan and I cannot wait (but we will) till the Half Blood Prince comes out in July.. Yes it was supposed to be out in November but they have moved it back. The last book called “Deathly Hallows”, will be split into two different movies due out in 2009 and 2010..
Kim and I went and saw it last night. What a great movie. I thought everyone was saying that Keith Ledger did a great job because of his death. No, I was wrong.. He did a great job, he owned the part of the Joker. I could not see anyone playing the part as well as he did.. It was a very dark movie.. I mean dark by the subject mater.. Seeing that everyday people when confronted with their death or the death of a loved one they were ready to kill innocent people to.. So here is the question would you kill an innocent person if it meant saving a loved one.. I can’t even think about that type of choice. After the movie I sat in the seat wanting more.. Go and see Dark Night, DO NOT TAKE THE KIDS. There were a couple of people who brought their kids..
At the familiy reunion this past Saturday my Uncle Hob told me about a band called “The Strange Familiar” band. He worked on the lighting for one of their music videos and one of their concerts. So I went online and checked them out.. Kira has a great voice. I really liked the song called “Courage” See them on youtube and make up your mind for yourself.. After that buy the album (I did!!!).

I was very moved by this lecture from Randy Pausch. If you have 75 minutes.. Sit back, listen and reflect on your life and the life of others..
Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist whose “last lecture” about facing terminal cancer became an Internet sensation and a best-selling book, died Friday. He was 47.
Pausch died at his home in Chesapeake, Va., said Jeffrey Zaslow, a Wall Street Journal writer who co-wrote Pausch’s book. Pausch and his family had moved there last fall to be closer to his wife’s relatives.
n May, Pausch spoke at Carnegie Mellon’s commencement ceremonies, telling graduates that what mattered was he could look back and say, “pretty much any time I got a chance to do something cool, I tried to grab for it, and that’s where my solace comes from.”
“We don’t beat the reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living well and living fully,” he said.
I want to be a Tigger!!!!!
